My ICT course.

Hi, guys!

Today is the last submission of my work in the ICT subject of my master. The experience during the course has been incredible since I have learned many tools to use in the bilingual classroom. My favorite applications have been StoryboardThat and Genial.ly. They are my favourites as the elements offered by both are very lively for the primary classroom, and both are totally free.

I have used Genial.ly to tell you and teach you everything I have learned in the past few months.

I am looking forward to learning about new applications in the future and continue sharing them with you through this blog.

I hope you enjoy my presentation.

See you soon!

Musical journey!

Hi everybody!

Antonio Raserón and I were travelling around Spain to learn more about musical folklore. It has been an incredible experience!

We have learned a lot and want to share it with you. We have visited Madrid, Aragon, Andalusia, Extremadura, Galicia and Catalonia. We have designed it for the music room. The students must know the traditional music of some Spanish regions in Primary Education, and this lesson was designed for year 6. The aim of this session is for students to broaden their cultural knowledge of Spanish music and to learn to value the cultural heritage it brings.

Do you know that we have travelled around Spain without leaving home? IT IS POSSIBLE!

We have learned to use a new program called VSDC Editor! It is a very varied and totally free program, we recommend it. We have been able to change the background of our presentation and you can include both videos and images! All you need is a white or green background.
We have to add that at the beginning it is complicated to use the program but once you understand it it´s pretty easy to use. To make it more dynamic we have added some transcriptions and music.

This is an example of the design.

I hope you enjoy the video with us and above all that we inspire you with new educational ideas!

See you soon!

Telling a story with Flipgrid!

Hello guys!

Today I have discovered Flipgrid! It is a great tool! I used this tool because I'm involved in a project called "Worldwide project". I strongly believe that it is a very good idea, because I can share my experiences and at the same time, I can watch experiences from different people.

Also, it's important to say that we can talk about any fun experiences we've had! I've enjoyed watching my classmates' experiences and can't wait to see new stories.
It's completely free. I have downloaded it from Playstore and it is very easy to use. You just need an e-mail and you can start to record you own story!

In my flipgrid, I have talked about my experience in Manchester. I was there last year and the experience was amazing. I had some difficulties but you should watch see the video to see what I´m talking about!

I look forward to learning about your fun experience!

See you soon.

StoryboardThat again!

Hi guys! How are you?

This week Antonio Raserón and I are using Storyboard again to tell a story. This time we created this story for our music lesson plan! We thought it was a good idea to explain to our students the folklore of our country throgh a comic book. We think it looks great!

We have used this tool because it offers many didactic possibilities and it’s very easy to use. Storyboard offers a loto f fun scenarios, some of which you can edit and design in your own way. This application is very usefull for creating teaching material, especially for online classes. If you are teaching your students from home, don’t hesitate to use Storyboard!

I hope you enjoy our adventure throgh some of the autonomous communities in Spain.

See you soon

Podcasting in mussic!! Beethoven is with us!!

Hi guys!

I hope that you are having a good weekend. I don't think that I told you before, but my master's dissertation is about how to use the radio in bilingual schools. I created a podcast for music lessons and the goal is to introduce my students to Beethoven's life and future activities.

I created the podcast with Audacity. This tool is my favourite in terms of podcasting, and it's because it's very easy to use and it's totally free!!! Also, Audacity has many effects to play with your voice and add songs. I strongly recommend you to use this application!! I've added it to Ivoox, it's very useful for uploading podcasts and it's totally free, you just need your email.  :)

At the beginning of the podcast I have "Mi gente" from J Balvin, my students love this singer and I did it to get their attention from the beginning. Soon after, the music changes to classical music. I want to show them that all types of music are compatible with different types.

I'm sure that this podcast will be very helpful for my students.

Long live the radio! Long live the URJC radio!

Using Easy.ly in my primary school

Hi friends!

I hope everything's going well. Due to the quarantine, I have had a lot of free time and I have discovered a new tool! It's called Easyl.ly.

This application has everything and is one of my favourite tools to use! Why? Because most of the options are free and the only thing that you need to access it is your e-mail. You can insert videos, images and funny icons. The most common use is to create infographics. I really recommend this tool!!

I have created an infographic for students at my school to promote the importance of drinking lots of water. This poster shows that if you are doing a lot of exercise (like our students) you need to drink a minimun of eight glasses of water per day.

I'm sure it's going to have a positive effect on them.

You can use it for your schools! I highly recommend it.

See you soon :)

Mindmeister is useful for the subject of music!

Hello everybody!!

How are you all? This week I've been really busy working on my ICT tools. Today I want to show you how you can create a cool mindmap with Mindmeister. I have used this resource in Music (my favourite subject by far).

Sometimes for our students it´s difficult to understand what the musical textures are. For this reason, I designed a mindmap where the main characteristics of these textures appear: Monophonic, Heterophonic, Biphonic and Poliphonic. My students will see the main points from these music textures using the mindmap that I have created. Also, I've added videos that show clear examples. I'm sure this idea will be very useful for them.

Mindmeister is a tool to create mindmaps and can be used for everybody and is useful for all professional fields. You can add images, videos, emoticons and songs (yes, songs too!).

I hope you enjoy the scheme I've designed and that you enjoy Easter!

Discovering Storyboard!

Hi guys!

I hope that you´re all doing well. Last week I was thinking of creating a comic as a resource for my students. I chose a comic which deals with self-esteem as a helpful resource to be used for the Value's subject.

I was inspired by Jorge Bucay´s short stories which helped me come up with the topic of the plot. He is a Spanish writer, and he has written some short stories with philosophical messages for children and adults.

This story can be a good resource for teachers and students. I created this comic with "StoryboardThat", this page is very useful and it is very easy to use. You can create your own story without any problems. The only inconvenience is that if you want to design a large comic with many strips you must subscribe to premium (which can be quite pricey!) StoryboardThat is a great application because it provides many facilities such as emticons, very funny characters and it is very easy to use. I will undoubtedly use it more in my lessons.

I hope you enjoy the comic and that it´s useful for you!

Genlial.ly is a fantastic resouce for teachers!

Hi dear followers!

Hi, hope that you are staying at home staying safe!

These weeks are being a little bit longer, but we have more free time to investigate a new teaching resources, today I want to show you how works Geanial.ly.
I created an account the last week in my uni with my master's team and currently we are working with this tool. It is very nice to create a presentation for our students and you can use to teach a new concept or to review the content that they have learned.

Genial.ly gives to you the opportunity to add videos from YouTube, images from Pixabay or Giphy. These advantages are so important because help us to keep the attention of our students. It also has interactive elements, icons and shapes so funny for our pupils.
Furthermore, you can record your voice and add it to the slides. The students can see the presentation from home, because this App is only, and at the same time they can listen your voice to work in pronunciation.

I embedded my presentation in this blog, and you can use in your classroom. At the end of my presentation I included a game in Kahoot to review the concepts. This is the link and the code to play is 166339. https://kahoot.it/

Thanks to read my blog and see you soon!

I have selected five resources that are so usefull to develop different skills in our students like a creativity. Also, these resources are so good because helps to convert the abstract knoledge into concrete knowledge.

I hope that you can use your ideas in your music classroom and of course I want to know what resources you are using in your school.

Cartoonize myself

Hi! I am Musichris.

How are you? I'm in the best moment of the day! Obviously because I'm playing piano.
I am a man who born in Madrid in 1770. Yes! You are right! Betthoven and me have borned in the same year. (He is a little bit envy, but don't tell anything to him, could be angry).

Currently, Im doing a Master's degree about how to teach music in bilingual schools, to be honest I really like and also I have a lot of free time to work in my hobbies. One of my hobbies, is to read about politics, and I am designing a proyect called "European Union". Nobody knows what it is, but between you and me, will be a great idea. I hope to finish my proyect soon, if i haven't got time, I will give the idea to Robert Schuman vía mail. This letter will arrive to this person in 1951.

My opinion about the tool (Bitmoji), is that it is amazing for our students! They can create their own profiles using creativity. Also, teacher's can know what student's like and their ideas about theirselves. For example, if a student feel bad or embarrased with his own body or some body facts, teacher's will know before.

With Emoji APP, you can create your own Avatar. You can design your Avatar with different hairstyles, eyes shapes, clothes etc... Also the App offers to you, the possibility to share your own Avatar using a GIF like a format. The best point about Emjoi App, is that it is totally free and you can use with a smartphone or with a laptop.
